What’s the Church for?

The Mission Statement of the Diocese of Chelmsford
1. To proclaim the good news of the Kingdom.
2. To teach, baptise and nurture new believers.
3. To respond to human need by loving service.
4. To seek to transform the unjust structures of society.
5. To strive to safeguard the integrity of creation and to
sustain and renew the life of the earth.

"I want to encourage every church in the Diocese to keep these Marks of Mission clearly in focus, that it may be with a clear sense of purpose and a renewed confidence that we continue to work for the coming of the Kingdom of God."
